Kumasi-based private radio station Otec FM received a Life Achievement Award at the first-ever Ashanti Regional Ghana Journalist Association (GJA) Awards Miklin Hotel in Kumasi, Friday, May 31, 2019.

The award was presented by GJA National President Roland Affail Monney to Otec FM General Manager Ebenezer Sarpong Mantey.

Otec FM was created by Mr. Oppong Twumasi, who died in 1986 at CPC Kumasi, before moving to Asawasi, near the roundabout of Manhyia Palace.
