Accra, April 16, GNA – President Nana Addo
Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Tuesday sworn in the last group of defense ministers
newly created regions.
They are Kwasi Owusu Yeboah for the Oti region
and Mrs. Ama Kumi Richardson for the Bono area.
In a short ceremony at the Jubilee House in
Accra, where the president handed over their ministerial instruments, he
congratulated both on their appointments.
He told them that they had been carefully
chosen because they had proven themselves in the public service and were
sufficiently prepared for their pioneering role in the country's governance.
President Akufo-Addo reminded them of the
the enormity of the mantle they have been given to bring the government closer to the people,
and "I am very confident that you will fulfill your duties
credible. "
To the regional minister of Oti, the president
said that he should make himself available and accessible to people to prove the
the whole purpose of the creation exercise of the region to bring governance
closer to people.
He told the minister that as a pioneer

The President also urged Minister Bono,

by a secret ballot, the candidate garnering 124 votes out of the 210 votes cast.

with the ministers to fulfill the mandate that the people of Ghana gave to his
