Former President John Agyekum Kufuor
Former Ghanaian President John Agyekum Kufuor is confident that Ghana will experience great strides in its development growth.
This, he said, would be quickly achieved thanks to good economic management, great leadership skills and the goodwill of the citizens.
Her comments are part of her Independence Day message to Ghanaians in an exclusive interview with Afia Kwarteng Asamani of Atinka News.
According to the former president, Ghana is a country whose original name was based on wealth (GOLD COAST), as such it gives any indication that the country is positioned for greater achievements.
He called on all Ghanaians to support the government to allow the country to continue to experience monumental growth.
The “gentle giant” wished all Ghanaians a happy independence day.
64th independence of Ghana
President Akufo-Addo instructed Ghanaians to join in the search for the country’s economic recovery.
Addressing the nation on the occasion of Ghana’s 64th birthday, President Akufo Addo noted that Ghana was taking steps to revitalize the economy, a process which he said was built on the Ghana Cares Obatanpa program of one billion GHS.
He stressed that this was aimed at transforming our economy, which is our top national priority.
This year’s Independence Day celebration took place virtually on the forecourt of the Jubilee House due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
