Dr. Opuni-Frimpong, former secretary general of Ghana's Christian Council, said that the country's democracy should not become a dictatorship of the majority.

Speaking as part of Okay FM's "Ade Akye Abia" program, he explained that this winning attitude kills democracy in the country, adding that politicians should learn to do more when they access in power, no matter the elections.

He congratulated the President and his advisers for demonstrating their determination to fight political vigilance and violence in our democratic system.

"All other stakeholders must be fully committed to a democracy that guarantees peace, prosperity and security for all," he said.

"Ghana's democracy must operate in an atmosphere of freedom, justice and the pursuit of the common good."

It must be said that we are the generation that laid the foundation for economic transformation, good governance and the establishment of strong democratic institutions.
