Following the fuel price hike that began yesterday, August 1, 2019, the Funeral Cressing Association announced that its customers would be required to pay more for their services.

According to one of the professional criers' women, potential customers must be willing to pay double the minimum of 2,000 GHc and the maximum of 4,000 GHc announced for their services.

Ms. Dokli explained that the high demand for their services, linked to rising fuel prices and general economic difficulties, had pushed them to adjust their rates.

The upward adjustment follows discussions between her and other professional funeral criers. They took into account the rise in petroleum product prices and transportation rates.
