Pakistan issues travel advisory to the Philippines on the measles epidemic
Islamabad: At the behest of the Federal Minister of Health, Aamer Mehmood Kiani, from the Ministry of National Health Services, became aware of the measles outbreak reported in the Philippines.
Authorities in Manila reported a contagious measles outbreak in several parts of the country, including the capital, Manila.
Under instructions from the Federal Minister of Health, health personnel from all points of entry into the country have been alerted to monitor all arrivals from the affected country.
Pakistani citizens have been asked to avoid non-essential trips to the country.
The country recently successfully conducted the largest measles immunization campaign ever organized across Pakistan. Our children are protected, so there is no need to worry, said the Federal Ministry of Health.
