RAWALPINDI: After a year-long absence, the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Friday that wastewater from the garrison town was poliovirus-free for the month of May.

WHO has collected two samples from different locations in Leh Nullah to determine the presence of poliovirus every month. On May 2, he collected two environmental samples from the Nullahs of Dhoke Dalal and Safdarabad.

However, no poliovirus has been found in wastewater.
