The Crystal Palace plans to sign a contract with Dean Diaz, the defender of Al-Ahli Saudi FC, for £ 5 million this summer.

According to the Daily Star, via the BBC, Palace is questioning about the opportunity to bid for the defender, an offer of £ 5 million being considered.

The report says the palace sees him as a potential substitute for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who left the club earlier this summer to sign for Manchester United under a £ 50 million deal.

Buda Mendes / Getty Images SportsPalace has not yet replaced the English international under-21, but could do it by bringing Diaz to Selhurst Park.

Diaz, 24, has joined Al-Ahli since San Lorenzo in the summer of 2018 and has played 24 league games for the club so far.

He was also selected 15 times by Chile at the international level and played three times for his country at Copa America earlier this summer, drawing Palace's attention to the tournament.
