Parents admit that their children's fashion sense is better than theirs

Children develop a "sense of fashion" at the age of seven, according to a study.

The researchers found that at this point, children develop an idea of ​​what they like to wear and start to take a closer look at different styles of clothing.

It has also become apparent that moms and dads are inspired by the style of their own child. Seven out of ten children agree that their children are often better dressed than they are.

Parents also said that they felt happy, proud and even impressed by the style and fashion sense of their children.

Capsule Chix asked the research of 2,000 parents to launch a new doll that encourages children to show their personal style.

One-third of those surveyed said that they would even let their children go out to get dressed, allowing them to taste their unique tastes.

Emily Maclennan, group sales and marketing director at Moose Toys, which manufactures Capsule Chix, said, "Style is a very important part of self-expression. So it's good to see parents allow and encourage them from an early age.

"Our research shows that parents do not worry about how their kids are dressed, as long as they're having fun and that they're creative."

The study also revealed that one in four moms and one dad are happy to let their child wear all the accessories, as long as it makes them happy.

It also appeared that more than a third of moms and dads had even had to return a garment because their children were not happy with it.

The research also revealed that six-year-olds are not hesitant to comment on their parents' clothes, whether they are positive or negative.

In fact, seven in ten parents said they believe children are better dressed today than ever before.

The study, conducted via OnePoll, also revealed where children get their style ideas, especially with Princess Charlotte.

She was closely followed by Harper, Romeo and Cruz Beckham – which will undoubtedly be the pride of the fashionista's mom, Victoria Beckham.

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. was fifth. Suri Cruise and North West were also in the top 10.
