Parliament has approved a loan facility of 10 million euros for the import of some 300 tractors to facilitate the mechanization of agriculture.
Joseph Opoku Gakpo, of Joy News, reported Wednesday that the minority in the House had raised concerns about the affordability of tractors.
The minority, he said fears that despite the expected subsidy on tractors, the ordinary farmer is not able to buy it.
Despite their concerns, the House has decided to approve this loan facility, the reporter told The Pulse on Joy News TV.
What did the Akuffo-Addo administration in the agricultural sector?
Prior to her election, Nana Akufo-Addo made various promises to farmers, the most important of which is the "Planter for Food and Employment Program" (PFJ).
