Parliament loses Deputy Clerk – Graphic Online

The Deputy Clerk of Parliament, Mr. Robert Apodolla has passed away.

Mr Apodolla, who was the deputy clerk in charge of the legislative management division, died on Friday evening, February 19, 2021.

He died at Korle-Bu University Hospital where he was admitted with an undisclosed illness and was reportedly recovering.

Some of the Parliamentary Service staff described him as one of the establishment’s fondest memories, a reputable boss, compassionate with a listening ear and a helping hand.

He was dedicated to the work of Parliament and held a number of positions including committees, reviewing Standing Orders, developing strategic plans, and the Senior Officer / Coordinator for State of the Nation Speech and the presentation of the budget to Parliament.
