Parliament suspends approval of Bono area minister designate

Parliament suspended the approval of Ms. Evelyn Ama Kumi-Richardson, Minister Designated for the newly created Bono Region, for her university degrees and 18 others who went through her.

Ms. Kumi-Richardson appeared before the Parliamentary Nominating Committee prior to her Ph.D.

His CV was very much missing from his CV, causing concern for committee members and a series of questions from Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for North Tongu and a member of the committee.

Announcing the list of candidates recommended by the Nominating Committee for approval, the chairman of the committee said: "… the examination of a candidate is still going on".

You will find below the list of candidates approved by Ministers and Deputy Ministers.

Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah – Western Region; Solomon Namliit Boar – Northeast Region; Kofi Amoakehene – Bono East; Kinglsey Aboagye Gyedu – North West Region; Kwasi Owusu Yeboa – Oti Region; Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih – Upper West Region; and Salifu Adam Braimah – Savana Region.

The others are Naana Eyiah, deputy minister-designate, Lands and Natural Resources; Alex Kwodwo Kom Abban, Designated Deputy Minister of Health; and Yaw Afful, designated Deputy Minister of Aviation.

Others are Siaka Serwaa, deputy minister-designate for the Bono area; John Bennam, Designated Deputy Minister, Northern Region; Alex Tetteh, Designated Deputy Minister, Northwest; Samuel Yeyu Tika, Deputy Minister of the Savanna Region; Tahiru Tia Ahmed, Designated Deputy Minister, Northeast; and Johnson Avuletey, Designated Deputy Minister, Volta Region.
