"Mr President, I have asked the leaders of the NPP to invite the leaders of the NDC to participate in such a meeting. The security services of the country will be ready to attend such a meeting. If voluntary dismantling by the parties is not possible, I will propose a law in this area. "
Mr. Ahi, however, said: "The call does not come from his heart, he does not say it, he's just talking."
The opposition MP added, "The president is a direct beneficiary of activism in Ghana. He formed the groups when he was in opposition because, as he himself said, he did not trust the police. And then, how can he dissolve them?
"He will not do it because it has been good for him. In the NDC, we have always said that these self-defense groups should be dissolved, but the NPP does not call for such action.
"They can not because they benefit. I have no confidence in what Akufo-Addo said. "
