Paul Chuckle congratulated a cancer charity after the death of his older brother, Jimmy Patton.
The 87-year-old comedian Jimmy, who regularly appeared on the BBC's hit show, The Chuckle Brothers, died this week, confirmed a Facebook post on the official Chuckle Brothers page.
Jimmy died nearly 12 months after Barry Chuckle, who died of bone cancer last August.
Many of them had visited social media to send their condolences.
And Paul responded to a tweet from Matthew Reed, the CEO of Marie Curie, who had made contact with the family following the tragic news.
Sending to Paul in the tweet, he writes, "I'm really sorry to hear the news of Jimmy's death.
"All @mariecurieuk members send their love and best wishes to you and your family.
Paul tweeted to him: "Thank you Matthew, appreciated" followed by a hump lump emoji.
Meredith Niles, general manager of fundraising at Marie Curie, also tweeted to Paul: "Really sorry to hear from Jimmy.
"We at @mariecureuk send our condolences."
The post that announced the death of the popular artist paid tribute to the star of Chucklevision.
It read: "I just thought I would let you know that Chuckle Brothers' older brother, Jimmy Patton, has unfortunately pbaded away.
"Jimmy played an important role in Chucklevision and the live shows where he played No Slacking, RIP Jim Lad, and No Slacking."

Jimmy was married to a much younger wife, Amy, who was herself a fan of the series as a child.
He was last seen at the funeral of Barry, badisted by his wife, 27 years old. At that time, he was looking fragile as he was heading to the church on crutches.
Jimmy and his other brother Brian both had a successful career in comedy, starting as Patton Brothers in 1954.
They became favorites of the pantomime scene and had their great success in Aladdin in 1956 by confronting Chinese policemen.
The four brothers – Jimmy, Brian, Barry and Paul – participated together in the 3-2-1 game show in 1982 and on New Faces.
And while Barry and Paul later formed the Chuckle Brothers – broadcast for the first time on the BBC in 1987 – Jimmy and Brian continued their work on the British comedy scene under the name of Patton Brothers.
Jimmy's slogan in the series was "Remember, no looseness", while Brian was known to have shouted "Geroutofit".
