Power outage must allow maintenance work to be performed by PDS
The power provider, Power Distribution Services Ghana (PDS), said a scheduled maintenance Tuesday would result in power outages in certain areas of the nation's capital, Accra.
Affected areas will shut down for at least eight hours.
Maintenance work is expected to improve service delivery to customers, the company said in a statement released on Monday.
"In this regard, the following areas will experience a power outage on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 from 9:00 to 17:00," he said.
The areas are Amrahia, Danfa, Otinibi, Oyibi, Teshie Gred, North Dzorwulu, Westlands, Haatso, Adombrobe, Obediben and Mayfair.
PDS says it regrets the inconvenience caused by this exercise.
