Sweden is renowned for being one of the happiest places in the world, and perhaps because residents know how to make the most of a bad situation. Example: a flooded metro station, the Swedes have turned it into a pool
After Business Insider heavy rains caused the flooding of a station subway to Uppsala. Instead of complaining about unexpected transit delays (although some did), several people decided to get undressed to go to boxing or shorts and get a dip.
A woman, BI identified as Sarah Thorén, even added some accessories such as a flotation device, fins and an umbrella. His father also participated in the fun.
"Rain has created this cool pool in the city center," she writes. "Here is my crazy father."
Other participants who bathed and people who were at the central station of Uppsala at the time also shared their experience in line. However, it was not all fun and games. There were some safety concerns as a man noted in the photo above. "People are having fun, security is trying to ruin it," writes @svanstrom. "Update: the water could be electrified."
Another user captured on video how much water had absorbed the entire station. In the clip below, we see other people taking out their phones and capturing the unique moment in front of the camera.
According to a local Swedish publisher, the city did not specify whether the local municipality, railway station or the administration was responsible for not preparing well for the flood. However, as of Sunday evening, all the water was pumped and the transit resumed normally.
