Peppa Pig became the latest children's cartoon after Fireman Sam to be attacked for badism for using the word "firefighter".
London firefighters rejected the children's program using the "outdated gender stereotype," saying it was difficult to recruit more female firefighters.
Critics, however, pointed out on social media that this episode of Peppa Pig had shown female characters baduming the roles of firefighters and coming to the rescue of fathers, who had mismanaged a barbecue.
Responding to an excerpt from the episode "The Fire Engine" on Twitter, firefighters said, "Come on! [Peppa Pig]we have not been firefighters for 30 years.
"You have a huge influence on children [and] using outdated stereotyped gender-sensitive wording prevents girls from becoming firefighters. "
