Peter Frampton announces the farewell tour revealing the diagnosis of muscle diseases

Peter Frampton sat down for new interviews with "CBS This Morning" and Rolling stone, during which he revealed that he had been diagnosed with myositis with bodily inclusions (IBM), a rare degenerative muscle disease. The diagnosis was made three and a half years ago; Frampton hopes that muscle problems will eventually hit his fingers, which will affect his ability to record and perform. As such, he announced a farewell tour covering North America, beginning June 18 with a show at the Joint in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Find the complete list of dates here.

Talk to RS, Frampton revealed that he had recorded a new double album, which should be released at the beginning of the tour. He also said: "Another album that we are going to spot next week and after, if I can get it together, we'll do another project. the Peter Frampton Myositis Research Fund, a new fund created with Johns Hopkins University.
