Since its release on January 10, Petta has been unstoppable at the global box office. The film opened at no. 2 in Tamil Nadu, but overall, nothing can stop this Rajinikanth starrer.
In just 6 days of its release, Petta has generated a worldwide income of 138.45 million rupees and is expected to cross the 150 million rupees mark, which will occur in the next two days. At the box office in Tamil Nadu, the director of Karthik Subbaraj hit a record 70 rupees. Petta had published in three languages - Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, whose Hindi version is a major disaster. On the other hand, Viswasam Ajith and Nayanthara, who starred in the film, reported 100 crores of rupees five days after its release.
