Dr. Akoto with the quote and the staff of the ministry and the chamber
The government's flagship agricultural program, Planter for Food and Employment (PFJ), has been recognized as the "most remarkable program" among the many government interventions.
The Chamber of Agro-Food Industry of Ghana (GAC), which acknowledged the program's performance, noted that the PFJ initiative offered great prospects for the agricultural sector.

The group also paid tribute to the minister for supporting the Plant for Feeding and Creating Jobs program, describing his work as an "outstanding performance" since his appointment.
This latest award follows a similar recognition by the NPP Regional Presidents Association, which elected Akoto as the best-performing member of the year 2018.
Ministry Response
Dr. Akoto thanked the CAG for the honor and recognition of the ministry's contribution.
He reiterated the commitment of the government and the president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, in the agricultural sector.
Mr. Akoto said that the awarding of the award to the ministry was a recognition of the impact of the program on the activities of chamber members.

The delegation also included a board member and president of the National Association of Winners of the Ghana Farmers and Fishers Award, Davies Narh Korboe, and the chair of the chamber, Anthony Morrison.
The Senior Advisor, Research and Development of the Chamber, was Professor Paa Nii Johnson, also at the University of Ghana / CSIR; Mr. Courage Adanu Bessah, Director of Food and Intellectual Property; Togbe Festus, Senior Policy Advisor in the House, and Mr. Ebenezer Ennibil, Resource Economist in the House.
