Jon Rahm and Ryan Palmer allied for a seven-under par with a bogey 65 and took the lead midway after the second round of the Zurich Clbadic New Orleans.

With seven birdies in the four-foursome alternate format, the duo scored a total of 129 (129) mid-way through the Louisiana TPC on Saturday.

The cup fell to eight, less than 13 years old. The Australian duo Jason Day and Adam Scott, as well as the American partnership Tony Finau and Kyle Stanley, were among the events not to be missed.

The Spanish Rahm and American Palmer led teams Rory Sabbatini and Brian Gay, as well as Peter Malnati and Billy Hurley III.

Sabbatini and Gay were about to enjoy the mid-race until they realized a double bogey from their last hole, the ninth of normal, where Gay's tee shot found the # 39; water.

Malnati and Hurley enjoyed a night of sleep after finishing their second round on Friday.

The best-placed Australian was Curtis Luck, who has 12 fewer players with his American teammate Hank Lebioda tied for 10th.

Australian Matt Jones and American JJ Spaun are four strokes in 31st position.

Half the peloton, 40 teams, had to return at dawn to finish the round, after a long delay on Thursday.

The third round, using the most indulgent four-ball format, was to begin almost as soon as the second ended, bringing the event back to the end of the day.
