PHCC adds more capacity following cancer screening

The Primary Health Care Society (PHCC) has expanded its existing suite of cancer screening at the Leabaib Health Center.

As a result, bad cancer screening will only take 20 minutes per appointment. A second mammography room is also added, doubling the screening suite's capacity to reach 90 visitors per day and 450 visitors per week.
With regard to intestinal screening, the total capacity per day is now significantly higher, since it reaches 96 visitors per day and 480 per week. Appointments are even shorter than those for bad cancer screening clinics as the participant will bring the screening kit to the home where she will perform the FIT test. The Intestinal Screening Center will also have two evaluation clinics for men and women with specific opening hours.

The suite is characterized by a superior reception capacity reaching 180 visitors per day, more rooms for nurses, more screening and follow-up rooms with extended working hours, as well as separate entrances for men and women. the women.
This expansion is part of PHCC's approach to providing more space and increased testing capacity in clinics, starting at the Leabaib Health Center, which will be followed by an expansion plan at the health center. from Rawdat Al Khail later in the year.
Dr. Abdulmalik said, "The PHCC has had a hard time educating Qatar about timely screening for bad and colon cancer. In 2018, we provided bad cancer screening to 7,623 women and a colon screening to 9,351 participants.
