Phil Schiller: the white iPhone 4 still on track for the spring release

This is the device which was announced 10 months ago by Apple and which has yet to appear in the public smartphone market – the white iPhone 4. The white version of the iPhone 4 was first announced in June 2010, alongside the black version, but due to manufacturing issues, Apple has yet to release the iconic device to the public. The last one we heard from Apple is that the white iPhone 4 will be available for purchase this spring.

Earlier today, Phil Schiller, senior vice president of global product marketing at Apple, confirmed Via its Twitter account, the white iPhone 4 is still expected to start shipping to customers this spring, possibly a few months before Apple announces the next-gen iPhone. Schiller also added that the white iPhone 4 was a “beauty”.

While the exact reason for the delayed release of the white iPhone 4 is unknown to consumers, the most likely cause is due to manufacturing issues. According to previous reports, Apple struggled to maintain the same shade of white in all iPhone 4 models and the rear camera had issues as well.

What do you think? Will we ever see this thing?
