Philippines approves emergency use of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine for 12-17 year olds

MANILA, Sept. 3 (Reuters) – The Philippine Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Friday approved the emergency use of Moderna’s COVID-19 doses (MRNA.O) for children ages 12 to 17, said the head of the agency.

“As the Delta variant affects many children, experts found that the benefits of using the vaccine outweighed the risks,” FDA chief executive Rolando Enrique Domingo said at a press conference .
