Information available for YEN.com.gh shows that a Ghanaian student, Samuel Boateng, set a record in a Moroccan university.

Boateng, a student in engineering and architecture, has merged to become the best performing undergraduate engineering / architecture student at Ayyad University in Marrakech.

Former high school student Juaso, Boateng received a scholarship from William Yamoah of Ashanti Akyem South to continue his studies in Morocco.

The Association of Ghanaian Students of Morocco (GHASAM) stated that Boateng, who had been admitted to the Cadi Ayyad University of Marrakech, had demonstrated excellence and commitment in his studies.

According to a report by peacefmonline.com, residents of Asante Akyem South have sent their congratulations to Boateng after hearing the news.

They also expressed their gratitude to William Yamoah, who supported Boateng's educational journey.

Boateng raised Ghana's flag among the youth of the city and also honored the inhabitants of Ashanti Akyem South.

Ghana's ambbadador to Morocco, HE Stephen and D. Yakubu, also congratulated Boateng on its success during the 2018/2019 academic year and encouraged it to do even better in the fields of subsequent studies.

In another report, President Akufo-Addo described the slave trade as a "Barbarian episode" it should never be allowed to reproduce.

According to him, the celebration of the pan-African festival (PANAFEST) must provide Ghanaians with the opportunity to do their utmost to prevent the return of the incident.
