The Ambbadador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in Italy presented her credentials to President Sergio Mattarella in Rome, the Italian capital.
Upon receiving the Ghanaian envoy to the Quirinale Palace, the Italian President welcomed Eudora Quartey-Koranteng and congratulated her on her appointment.
He noted with admiration Ghana's reputation for a stable democracy with potential for economic growth and expressed hope that the Ambbadador of Ghana will work to strengthen collaboration and strengthen relations between Ghana and Italy. in the mutual interest.
To this end, the Italian President badured that his country would support the ambbadador in the performance of his duties.
For her part, Mrs. Quartey-Koranteng conveyed the wishes of President Nana Akufo-Addo and Ghanaians to President Mattarella. She congratulated the Italian Government for its continued support to the Government of Ghana.
Ms. Quartey-Koranteng expressed her appreciation for the $ 25 million pledge for Ghana during the visit of Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini in November 2018.
This mechanism would be useful for promoting various government programs aimed at improving the human resource capacity of local small and medium-sized enterprises. She further noted that the government was eager to tap into this facility to fulfill its promise.
The Ambbadador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary also shared the Government's commitment to make Ghana an active player in the global arena of the twenty-first century as part of the Ghana Beyond Aid initiative, which aims to create a self-sustaining Ghana that can serve as a partner to investors.
She said "Free High Schools", "Plant for Food and Employment" and "One District, One Factory" are some of the key projects currently being implemented aggressively throughout Ghana.
She reiterated Ghana's proposal to create a viable environment for business and called on more Italian investors to consider Ghana, a trade destination.
Ambbadador Quartey-Koranteng also gave the Italian President the reminder letters of his predecessor, Paulina Patience Abayage, currently Minister of the Upper East Region.
