A torrential rain Thursday night in Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti region, caused the displacement of many people.
Roofs were torn off and giant panels fell, sometimes on moving vehicles, at Afful Nkwanta, Stadium and Asokwa, all in the metropolis of Kumasi.
According to Erastus Asare Donkor of Luv FM, a person was hospitalized after being stuck for hours in his car.
In Accra, the Ghana Meteorological Agency announced that heavy rains on Friday at dawn "will continue to the west and will affect Saltpond and Takoradi at dawn".

The Agency said fishermen going fishing would encounter wind and rain conditions at sea.
In a few northern areas, thunderstorms and rain will continue to occur, the agency said in its daily weather report.
