Arsenal striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, reportedly received a huge offer to leave the club for China.
Aubameyang had an excellent campaign for the Gunners sharing the Golden Shoe with the Liverpool duo Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.
The 29-year-old is still two years old on his contract with Emirates and the Arsenal board has warned that players would be sold if they did not promise their long-term future at the club.
And this has alerted the Chinese Super League clubs, who are willing to offer huge sums to Aubameyang this summer.
The Times reports that Guangzhou Evergrande and Shanghai SIPG both took action for the Gabonese striker.
Aubameyang has been offered a deal of around £ 300,000 a week by teams from the Chinese Super League.
He currently earns nearly £ 190,000 a week at Arsenal and would receive a sharp rise as he moves on to something else.
Guangzhou was very fond of the former Borussia Dortmund man before his transfer to North London in January 2018.
Arsenal will likely have to sell players to provide transfer funds this summer to Unai Emery, for a budget of just 40 million pounds.
But Aubameyang will not have been one of these players, Emery relying on him and his partner Alexandre Lacazette.
Lacazette is also an announced target for Barcelona, both players being on the radar of some of the best clubs in Europe.
Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are among those who could release funds to spend elsewhere.
Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser is a target, but it is unlikely Arsenal will move to Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha after missing the Champions League.
