Piers Morgan said he received several death threats following his comments about Meghan Markle on “Good Morning Britain”, including a post from a troll threatening to murder him in front of his children.

Discussing the threats in a lengthy column written for The Mail on Sunday, Morgan said he had been the victim of a “clearly orchestrated social media stack” and that police were investigating a particular threat sent to his eldest son Spencer .

“I’ve always subscribed to the ‘if you do it, you have to take it’ philosophy,” Morgan wrote. “But my three sons told me that they too were all targeted and sent me screenshots of poisonous abuse and threats of violence against them, which made my stomach ache, d ‘especially since the police are already investigating a death threat made to me and my oldest Spencer last month. ”

Morgan went on to write that none of her kids “care about Meghan Markle, let alone agree with my take on her,” but “the Twitter troll mob has found them guilty by association.”

Later in the article, Morgan wrote that he now regrets storming the set on a live broadcast of “Good Morning Britain” after clashing with his colleague, Alex Beresford, who accused him of continually “ransacking” Meghan Markle.
