A strategic plan and logo, which will enable Ghana's National Theater to promote the performing arts more effectively, was launched in Accra.
The plan, among other things, aims to ensure that the national theater has sufficient resources and specific strategies to fulfill its mandate in a measurable way.
Dr. Ziblim Barri Iddi, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, who launched it, said that the key is to reorient the organization's direction and provide the means to measure the progress of the organization. National Theater, among other benefits.

Dr. Iddi said that, wishing to make Ghana's performing arts theater a national theater, he deeply hoped that all the activities of the organization's board and staff would reflect the vision of the Plan.
"It would be great to have international guests in the country because of theater programming," he said.
He said that it was comforting to have the opening of an artist clinic, known as Clinical Science and Health in Performance Art (SHAPe).

The Deputy Minister stated that since the SHAPe clinic is linked to one of the eight objectives of the strategic plan, the strategic plan was already used as a working document.
Amy Appiah Frimpong, Executive Director of the National Theater, said that over the past 25 years, the organization has gone through many phases through its performances, outreach programs and several community events.
She said that the national theater had become more of a building or other event venue for most people and seemed to have lost sight of her arts development mandate.
"Today, we have a lot to share but it is only a beginning because the National Theater aims to reach all Ghanaians, whatever their geographical location, their social, economic situation. or their age limit, "Ms. Frimpong said.
She said that over the next few months, "you will learn more about our planned activities and we expect you to participate in any way possible for the good of the nation"
