Four people were arrested as part of the counter-attacks in Chereponi between Konkombas and Chokosis.
According to DSP Yussif Tanko, a member of the Northern Regional Police, the suspects were arrested in two separate areas with a single gun.
They were arrested to help with investigations, the police said.
The statement issued by the Regional Police Command states that no deaths were recorded during the attacks.
One person, however, was shot and some communities belonging to both Konkombas and Chokosis were also burned.
Jababu Fuad, 22, shot dead Friday by strangers in Nawieku, reportedly in stable condition at Chereponi hospital.
The victim was hit twice: one in the right thigh and one in the right arm.
Security personnel have since been deployed to the area to restore calm.
There has long been a dispute between the two factions on a piece of land that has claimed the lives of at least 10 people in six months.
