Police on Tuesday dropped an investigation into allegations of badual badault against the French ambbadador in Vanuatu, a South Pacific city.

The French government fired Robby Judes after two women claimed he had pelted them during an official visit to New Caledonia in February.

"In my opinion, an offense was committed, but I found that the response of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was proportional to the seriousness of what had happened," said prosecutor Alexis Bouroz at the # 39; AFP.

Judes denied the charges, but Paris officials fired him in March after reminding him to Paris to explain him.
