The police administration announced that it was investigating allegations that a senior CID officer charged with investigating the murder of the MP of Abuakwa North had attempted to strike the widow .
The Inspector General of Police, David Asante Apeatu, said that a committee had been set up to investigate the complaint of the widow Ivy Heward-Mills.
He was speaking at a press conference in Accra on Thursday.
The widow published an article on Facebook three years after the murder of JB Danquah Adu, alleging that the unidentified CID officer who led the homicide unit at the time had made badual advances against she.
She stated that she felt badually harbaded during a meeting with senior male officers at IDC headquarters, where an officer had asked her, "So, madam, do you wear necklaces to wear?" size?

Responding to a question about what the police administration was doing about the allegations, the IGP revealed that the widow had been contacted as part of the investigation in order to provide additional information for facilitate the investigation.
"We have set up an investigative committee to investigate this case," IGP told the media.
He added, "In fact, one of our commissioners has already invited her and she has given us time to come, it's an ongoing investigation."
Mysterious death
J.B. Danquah-Adu was stabbed to death in a strange robbery case on the night of Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at his Shiashie residence in Accra.
The main suspect, Daniel Asiedu, was arrested two days after the incident. His accomplice was arrested several weeks later.
But the widow, Ivy Heward-Mills, criticized the frantic pace of the ongoing lawsuit.
In this article on Facebook, Ms. Heward-Mills said that she and her children had not seen any sign of justice for the late MP.
