A police officer from the Nkawkaw Divisional Command was found dead in a hotel room in Nkawkaw on Saturday August 7.
Master Stores agent Sarah Adjei, who allegedly committed suicide, was found prostrate on the floor.
Her nostrils were bleeding and her right cheek was swollen.
According to police sources, the hotel manager went to see customers on Saturday night and found the officer dead.
After a search, a note addressed to a certain Timothy Dampare was found in his bag.
According to the note, the man did not help her settle her debts after he promised her.
The note reads: “Dear Mr. Timothy Dampare, I told you I owed people money and you decided to help me, and you have been with me in my house for a week now and you refused to help me so if something happens you caused it Mr. Timothy Dampare. Thank you.”
Police have yet to comment on the case.
Nkawkaw District Police Commander Superintendent Victor Kwakye, when contacted, promised to speak after meeting his superior.
The latest death of an officer comes after another woman was found dead at her home in Damongo, Savannah, just a week ago.
This was announced in a statement issued by the Ghana Police Service on Monday, August 2, 2021.
Police say the victim was found in a pool of blood with wounds believed to be from stabbing.
Police in the statement said they were looking for the boyfriend of the deceased.
