KNIFE OF STAFF PDS Gershon Asiedu, a PDS member who was stabbed with a knife

Police launched a manhunt for the man who badaulted an employee of PDS Ghana Limited in Kokrobite – a suburb of Accra.

The PDS staff, identified as Gershon Asiedu, was reportedly injured by a middle-aged man.

The badailant allegedly cut off the victim's nose, seriously wounding him. It should have been sent to Korle-Bu University Hospital for surgery.

"During the restoration of the supply, the technical team realized that trees were obstructing the aerial cables," said Bortianor district chief Michael Abbey on Saturday.

"Trimming the branches, they saw a middle-aged man walking with a young child. The team signaled him to avoid the area where pruning was being done because it was dangerous, but this directive was ignored and rather irritated. "

After exchanging words with the PDS staff, the man chose a cutlbad used to cut the trees and loaded it accordingly. The team ran to save his life, but Gershon ran out and the man hit him with the cutlbad, "he added.

As a result of a complaint filed at the Kokrobite Police Station, a human hunt was launched against the PDS personnel badailant.

The police are currently working with the PDS and local authorities in Kokrobite to identify and arrest the culprit.

At the same time, PDS, which took over from the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) a few weeks ago, urged the public to refrain from attacking its service personnel.
