The Volta Regional Police Command resumed investigations into the circumstances that led to the death of a cadet recruit while he was undergoing training at the Academy of Customs Preventive Service and excise duty in Kpetoe, in the Agotime Ziope region, in the Volta region, March 31, 2019.
In a video [below] circulated on social media, some recruits are undergoing arrival formalities [drills] at the training school, where they are seen moving on a knee bent carrying their luggage.
The exercise for the recruits would have gone wrong and would have resulted in the collapse of five people and led to the death of George Annor.

It is believed that the deceased is one of the recruits captured in the video.
Volta Regional Commander, DCOP, Edward Oduro Kwarteng, confirmed the incident Online chart and explained that the investigations had not yet concluded that the deceased was one of the recruits seen in the viral video being trained on arrival.
According to the police commander, an autopsy report written by a pathologist,
The deceased, he said, has since been handed over to the family for burial.
DCOP Kwarteng explained that on March 31, 2019, the senior cadets, including the deceased, arrived at the academy and that during the initiation procedure upon their arrival in the academy, the the deceased collapsed and was transported to Kpetoe Health Center where he was handed humanitarian aid and was then referred to the Volta Regional Hospital in Ho.
He was, however, declared dead on his arrival.
He said that when the police examined the body, new knee injuries were discovered.
The public was doomed to the way recruits are greeted at the CEPS Academy after exercises after finalizing the video.
