Police pursue brigands at traffic circle on highway

The Tema police command said that officials were on the hunt for three armed men who had robbed customers and workers of the Shell gas station from the highway roundabout from Tema, Sunday morning.

Joseph Benefo Darkwah, Tema police's regional public relations officer, said the three thieves had arrived at the gas station at around 11:50 am aboard a Toyota Corolla black sedan bearing the number "T". registration GG991-18.

DSP Darkwah said they held seven employees and two customers hostage and stole their valuables, including an Apple MacBook Pro laptop and a Dell laptop.

Other stolen items included a Motorola Z2 mobile phone, an MTN router, 3,000 MTN recharge cards, a CPU and an unspecified amount.

The PRO officer added that none of the victims had been injured during the attack.

He noted that police officers had gone to the scene and had in their custody the closed circuit television (CCTV) footage they were reviewing.

He badured that the police worked diligently to apprehend the culprits while calling the public to transmit relevant information.
