The consular general and head of the Estonian mission in Ghana, Nabil Makram Basbous, was rescued by the Special Unit for the Control of Weapons and Ammunition (SWAT) of the Regional Police Command. Accra.

Out of fear, he said, he got into the car and was taken away, the kidnappers pointing a gun and an ax at him.
