The Tema Regional Police Command announced the prosecution of three people allegedly stealing the Shell petrol station at the Tema Highway roundabout on Sunday, July 14, 2019.
A sequence of CCTV footage of the scene showed the three men arriving at the service station aboard a black Toyota Corolla sedan bearing the GG registration number 991-18 around 11:50.
They held seven workers and two clients hostage and stole their valuables.
A statement signed by the Tema Police Command's public relations officer, Deputy Police Superintendent (DSP), Mr. Joseph Benefo Darkwah, said police investigations had revealed that stolen items included a computer Apple MacBook Pro laptop, a Dell laptop, a Motorola Z2. mobile phone and an MTN router.
Mr Darkwah added that other cards had also been taken away, including MTN recharge cards worth 3,000 GHC, a computer system unit and an unspecified amount.
He added that no one was injured during the robbery.
Mr Darkwah said that after a visit to the crime scene, the police had retrieved CCTV videos and other relevant documents as part of the investigations.
He badured the public that the police were working diligently to ensure that the perpetrators of the crime were brought to justice.
