The Ashanti Regional Police Command has described as fake a video circulating on social media in which a leader was alleged to have slaughtered a human to sacrifice him.
According to the police, after badyzing the content of the video, they came to the conclusion that it was a ram that was killed and not a human being as claimed by the voice heard in a commentary of the video.
The police therefore, in a statement signed and published by the public relations officer of the Ashanti Regional Police (PRO), Mr. Godwin Ahianyo, ASP, urged the public to ignore the video.
He added that the woman whose commentary was on the video had since been invited by the police to be interrogated.
Context
In the video, Nana Appau Ababio Sanwansa, the traditional leader of Hemang in the Ashanti region, was seen shooting down what looked like an animal on the forecourt of the palace.
