Street art that may have been the work of anonymous artist Banksy has appeared in the coastal towns of eastern England.

Stenciled graffiti in the style of other Banksy pieces has been spotted in Lowestoft in Suffolk, and in Gorleston and Great Yarmouth in Norfolk.

In Nicholas Everitt Park in Lowestoft, graffiti shows three children standing in a scrap boat that has since been removed, one looking back, the other looking for the horizon and the other leaning over the side of the holding boat a bucket, with the message “We are all in the same boat” written in the background.

Another possible Banksy adorns a wall outside a former electricity store in Lowestoft, a town of around 70,000, which appears to show a child building a sandcastle next to a dug up stretch of road .

The artist has yet to comment on the authenticity of the works, but Banksy fans will be keeping an eye on his Instagram account for updates.

In Great Yarmouth, a stenciled couple can now be seen dancing on the roof of a bus shelter.

Great Yarmouth Borough Council General Manager Sheila Oxtoby told the BBC: “We are just as intrigued and curious as everyone else as to whether these are genuine Banksys.

“It would be great to think they were, but we really don’t know.”
