Five star Chelsea and Pulisic

Frank Lampard's men have won a 5-3 triumph in Austria, but Pedro's outrageous rearguard will be in the headlines.

The Blues were led 3-1 in the second half when the 32-year-old opened the ball with a floating ball in the box before sending it in with a certain style.

Earlier, Christian Pulisic had scored his first goal since arriving at Chelsea in the 28th minute for a £ 58 million gain, while Ross Barkley doubled the advantage.

Twenty-year-old Pulisic conceded a second before half-time and although Jerome Onguene had a setback, Pedro secured the match with a superb finish.

Takumi Minamino grabbed a support for hosts on both sides of a goal from Michy Batshuayi in order to make the score respectable.

Spurs win Audi Cup on penalties

Tottenham won the Audi Cup after beating Bayern Munich, Bundesliga champion, on penalties after a 2-2 draw at the Allianz Arena.

The team of Mauricio Pochettino, who beat Real Madrid 1-0 to reach the final, scored two goals in normal times thanks to goals from Erik Lamela and Christian Eriksen, but Bayern resisted against Jann-Fiete Arp and Alphonso Davies.

Despite a two-goal lead, the Spurs held up well in the shootout to ensure pre-season silverware with Paulo Gazzaniga saving Jerome Boateng's sudden death sentence.

Liverpool wins in Geneva

Liverpool closed their pre-season on a summit with a 3-1 win over Lyonnais in Geneva thanks to the confidence of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Alisson.

After four games without a win in pre-season, the pbadage to the Alps and the return of their big guns triggered an increase in the performance level of the Reds. Sadio Mane was the only notable absentee as he has yet to return after his Nations of Africa Cup feats with Senegal.

Firmino spared Alisson's blushes – the early goaltender inflicted a penalty on Lyon, converted by Memphis Depay (4) – with a neat finish to equalize the score (17). It calmed Jurgen Klopp's men and Joachim Andersen's comedic goal allowed them to take the reins before Harry Wilson cracked in a superb 25-yard effort (53).

Arsenal imposes on penalties after being held in France

Arsenal battled 1-1 with Angers but imposed on penalties in a match designed as a celebration of the French club's centennial.

Reiss Nelson caught the Gunners' goal when he followed closely to cancel Farid El Melali's first game.

Unai Emery has selected an inexperienced team full of young talents: Zech Medley, Robbie Burton, Gabriel Martinelli and Tyreece John-Jules have given a chance to shine.

Arsenal will face Barcelona in their last pre-season match Sunday before their first Premier League match against Newcastle.

West Ham hit five

Pablo Fornals and Sebastien Haller both found the net while West Ham and Hertha Berlin hosted an entertaining match that the Hammers won 5-3.

Pascal Kopke quickly outclbaded the Germans, but Fornals equalized four minutes later by finishing at close range after being spotted by Haller.

Davie Selke's dazzling and elegant finish put West Ham in the background, but Haller and Fornals came together again to upgrade the Hammers. Their pbad exchange allowed Manuel Lanzini to go home at 22 meters.

Kopke put the score at 3-2 after the break but Robert Snodgrbad's center was led by Haller to come back.

West Ham then took the lead in the last 10 minutes, with Grady Diangana and Michail Antonio opening fire to end an entertaining pre-season meet.
