Four people lost their lives in an accident on the road to Kintampo on Tuesday, June 29, 2021.
The deceased were 3 women, including a pregnant woman, and a man.
The accident occurred after a driver of a Neoplan bus with registration GR 5865 rolled down a ramp while overspeeding.
This was revealed by the driver’s companion in an interview with CitiNews.
The driver was traveling from Kumasi to Gushegu in the northern region before the unfortunate incident occurred.
The mate noted that his “captain” did not see the speed ramp because he was trying to open a drink bottle while accelerating.
The injured victims were sent respectively to the northern and southern public hospitals of Kintampo for medical treatment.
The Ghana Police Service, Fire Service and National Ambulance Service were at the crash scene to rescue victims trapped from the vehicle.
