Premier League title race: Upcoming matches for Liverpool, Man City and Tottenham

The race for this year's title has already started to heat up, with Three teams competing to win the Premier League title.

Last season, Manchester City was essentially the only team to play a title and had a horse race for the majority of the campaign. This year, however, they are ready to defend their title but are joined by opponents like Liverpool and Tottenham as rivals.

Manchester City's dominance at the top of the table was halted when they suffered shocked losses from Chelsea, Leicester and Crystal Palace in December, which saw the Reds climb to first place.

Tottenham has also emerged as a title contender but will have to fill the gap by keeping him in third place. There is still much to do to define the season of each club, Goal take a look at what games they still have to play – and when crunch games are.

The team of Mauricio Pochettino still has a handful of "big six" to play before the end of the season, which could win or undo his title. A double header between Chelsea and Arsenal will arrive one after the other, late February and early March, followed quickly by a visit to Anfield to face Liverpool.

In April, a trip to Etihad is scheduled to face defending champion Man City, which could well be a decisive match for the title.

Chelsea's 6-0 defeat by Man City at Etihad in early February is a match in which the champions of the Premier League have truly manifested their intention to defend their title. Cool, composed and ruthless, Pep Guardiola's team tore the Londoners without any mercy, at the height of the title winners.

A huge derby match against rivals Man United is expected mid-March. All that remains is the "Big Six" game after a home game against Tottenham on April 20th.

Guardiola's team have defended well against the best teams this season, having lost only against Chelsea, but it's against the outsiders where it has encountered difficulties. After losing to Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Leicester, citizens will be wary of lower-ranked players.

Liverpool lost the chance of being 10 points ahead of Manchester City after his loss to Etihad, but he is still well positioned to finish the title winner. The tough matches against Man United, Tottenham and Chelsea remain, as well as a trip to Goodison Park to play the Merseyside derby in March.

The Reds have lost only once against the top six teams this season, imposing against Arsenal, Man United and Tottenham.
