Dear Gossip,
There is so much to watch this weekend. Of course, the big watch is the return of Game of thrones, starting his six episode run in the end. But it's only Sunday night (at 9 pm on Crave in Canada). Tonight Kathleen and I see Little, with Regina Hall, Issa Rae and Marsai Martin, who had the idea and also produced by Executive. We are the badholes who will quote the film as soon as it is finished.
Speaking of anus, this is the time of year when everyone dresses as one: Coachella. The weekend will not be all the posers however. Childish Gambino is in the headlines tonight and after the end of his performance (which will be broadcast live), his film, Guava Island, will start broadcasting for free on Amazon Prime for 18 hours. Guava Island stars Donald Glover, Rihanna and Letitia Wright. Written by Stephen Glover and directed by Hiro Murai, it was the secret project they shot in Cuba last summer, a one-hour film about a musician trying to plan a festival. A teaser was published the other day:
Watching Donald and Rihanna dance on the platform will allow me to endure all the f-cksh-t Winter brings to Westeros and the bloody winter that will not end here in Toronto.
Whatever you prepare for the weekend, do not be distracted and be sure to rest. Because Beyoncé comes to sleep in a few days. Tuesday night / Wednesday morning is # BeyoncéHomecoming. Duana, Kathleen and I plan to watch it together on Wednesday morning at 3 am, when we expect Netflix to come (we hope it's the same thing) in Canada – NETFLIX CANADA PLEASE BE THE SAME) before we go to work. And I'm pretty sure we're not the only ones reorganizing our schedule for the Queen. That is why she warned us 10 days in advance so we could be ready. You know who is also prepared? Adele:
"Why does she always know when I need her?"
Adele speaks of Beyoncé as the rest of us talk about Beyoncé.
Have a good week-end!
Yours truly,
Lainey
