President Akufo-Addo in Togo for the ECOWAS Summit | Policy

President Nana Akufo-Addo left Ghana on Sunday, July 29, 2018 to lead the Ghanaian delegation to the 53rd Ordinary Session of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS, which is held in Lome, Togo.

The meeting of Heads of State will take place from July 30 to 31, 2018 and will be, inter alia, witness to the election of a new President of ECOWAS.

President Akufo-Addo was accompanied by Foreign Minister Shirley Ayorkor Botchway and officials from the Presidency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The President will return to Ghana on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 and, in his absence, the Vice President, Alhaji Dr. MahamuduBawumia, 60 (8) of the Constitution, act in his place.
