President Akufo-Addo to hand over constitutional instruments to the new region on Tuesday
The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, will publicly present the Constitutional Instruments (CI) as of Tuesday, February 12, 2019 to give effect to the creation of six (6) new regions.
This was contained in a statement issued on Saturday, February 9, 2019 by the Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah.

The president, through the Ministry of Regional Reorganization and Development, has divested six new regions to the 10 existing regions.

The newly created regions are the Northeast, Savannah, Bono East, Ahafo, Northwest and Oti regions.

The schedule of presentations of C.I.S by the President is as follows:
Tuesday, February 12, 2019 – Northeast and Savannah Regions
Wednesday, February 13, 2019 – Regions of Bono East and Ahafo
Friday, February 15, 2019 – Regions West North and Oti

The statement added that delegations including leaders and inhabitants of the new regions were invited to the Jubilee House in Accra for official ceremonies.
