The newly elected Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency president in Jomoro, Western Region, Mr Simon Amoah calls for the referral of the Hon. Ernest Kofie took office as Regional Director General (MCE).

According to the statement, the MCE has shown a blatant lack of respect towards the constituency executive and the party as a whole.

The statement added that the ERM posed a threat to the party in the upcoming elections and urged the appointing authority to remove him from office with immediate effect.

"The continuation of his mandate in power is considered a threat to the party that will stand in the future and the next elections," the statement said.

Prior to this release, party supporters had accused the ERM of working against the MP for the region, who also served as vice minister of chiefdom and religious affairs, the Hon. Paul Essien.
