President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo sworn in two appointed ambbadadors to Norway and Belgium.

It is Mrs. Harriet Sena Siaw-Boateng, who becomes the Permanent Representative of Ghana to the European Union, and Ms. Jennifer Lartey, as ambbadador to Belgium. Both swore oaths of allegiance and secrecy administered by the president at the Jubilee House in Accra.

Their credentials were presented to them with the duty to protect and promote the image and interests of Ghana, economically and socially, at all times.

President Akufo-Addo urged them to keep in mind that they will represent a country considered to be one of the most stable on the continent, a beacon of democracy, governed by the rule of law , individual freedoms and human rights. and the principles of democratic accountability.

To this end, he encouraged the two envoys to do their utmost to protect and defend the image of Ghana, which occupied an important place in the courtesy of nations.

President Akufo-Addo congratulated them for their "well-deserved appointments", saying that they had been chosen with care and perfectly up to the task ahead.

He reiterated the government's commitment to changing the country's economic paradigm and urged it to adapt its plans, at all times, to building a Ghana Beyond Aid.

The two envoys must deepen the cooperation ties between Ghana and the respective countries for which they have been accredited, and seek other areas of engagement beneficial to the peoples of their respective nations, the president said.

"Ghanaians have set their hopes for a better life in us … we can not disappoint them. Do your best not to disappoint them, "he said, urging them to strive to establish a cordial relationship with the professional foreign service officers at their service station, because of their valuable experience. and their knowledge that would help them work effectively.
