The program coordinator, Mr. Samuel Blay, who is also deputy secretary of the NPP at the constituency level, gave the merchants enough information on how to make full use of the money and its repayment plan.
On March 18 and 20, 2019, the second batch of the facility was also disbursed.
Recipients include market women throughout the constituency. The beneficiaries came from ten communities, namely Bondye, Himan, Tarkwa Bremang, Kokoase / Adjeikrom, Patepoem / Ayensukrom, Akotom / Kofi Gyan, Kurantin, Amoanda, Aboso and Wbada Nkran, all located in the Prestea Huni Valley Municipality.
The traders were very grateful to the lawyer Barbara Oteng-Gyasi for keeping her promise to put some capital at the disposal of the vendors.
The women also promised to fulfill their part by working hard with the loan to repay the money on time, in order to be extended to other women traders.
Some of the components of the Wbada Hemaa Foundation include: Good health care, micro-loan education support program, good drinking water, among others for disadvantaged communities.
At the same time, the minister also promised to increase the seed money for 100,000 Ghanian cedis (100,000 Gh) as traders repay the loan and also advised them to take their business seriously.
